For centuries, nature has been a powerful source of medicine. However, modern pharmaceutical research faces challenges in harnessing these natural compounds: long discovery timelines, high failure rates, and high costs.

Inspired by the vast therapeutic potential of natural compounds, researchers from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) co-founded Nanyang Biologics (NYB) in 2021 to accelerate drug discovery. While traditional wet lab research provided valuable insights, it remained slow and costly.
Recognizing the need for a technological breakthrough, in 2024, NYB started leveraging AI to revolutionize drug discovery by significantly enhancing the efficiency of identifying natural compounds with pharmaceutical potential.
